LIFE FLOW YOGA

Life flow yoga is a typical Hatha yoga class based on connecting our breath and movement. Using a wide range of yoga postures, this practice is designed to balance our minds and bodies while raising our body temperature by creating heat from within. The practice is aimed at reducing our stress and anxiety using common breath techniques while engaging our core muscles as we flow.

FOUNDATIONAL LIFE FLOW YOGA

This practice is designed to be a place to learn basic yoga postures and how tostart connecting our breath with our movement.  Sometimes when we want tostart something new we need a place to feel we can ask questions, this is a goodclass to get your questions answered.  When we can ask questions about thepostures it allows us to build confidence in our practice.  We also wantthe practice to give the student a place to begin to understand basic breathingtechniques, yoga posture names, how a flow works, and basic meditation practiceoptions.  This practice is also a good place for students just coming backto a yoga practice after years of not practicing.   We feel yogais for everybody, we just all need the right place to start.

MIND | BODY BALANCING FLOW

Mind | Body Balancing Flow yoga is a restorative yogapractice focused on shifting our mental perspective by using basic yogapostures to rebalance our mind and body connection.  This practice is aslower-paced yoga flow that uses our mind and body focus to deepen ourpractice.  Students will be encouraged to hold postures longer and to usebasic breathing techniques to deepen their practice and bring calm to acluttered mind.   This practice is also a great balance to our LifeFlow and Power Flow practices because of itis designed to take ourstretching and flowing to a deeper level.

**This class can involve blocks and straps to helpus further our experiences.

POWER FLOW YOGA

Power yoga takes our Life Flow practice and ups the heat building phase of our practice. Power yoga uses basic yoga postures and taught just like a flow. However, the pace of our Power Flow can be a bit faster and some postures can be held longer giving the students space to challenge and deepen their practice. Our Power Flow practice is designed to get our heart rate up, engage our core muscle groups, and give ourselves space to challenge our mind-body connection through our flow.

BALANCING SLEEP YOGA

This class uses very basic yoga postures to ease our monkey minds and prepare them for a 20-30minute beautiful guided mediation focused on mind/body awareness.  This practice is also known as Yoga Nidra.  Yoga Nidra or a “yoga sleep” has been used for over 5,000 years and has been proven to assist our brain with easing stress and anxiety.  It does so, by getting to our brain to their “Delta” sleep stage or our deepest sleep wave and skipping our lightest sleep stage with is”Alpha”

Nidra meditations are designed to bring our minds and bodies to a complete state of relaxation & help create a healthy sleep routine through our delta waves.  In a Delta state of sleep is when our bodies recover and heal.  1 hour of Yoga Nidra is equal to 4 hours of sleep.  The best part is, This practice can be done on the floor or in our beds to ensure we are preparing for our night’s rest.
